7pm: The Rhode Island Wind Ensemble Presents Made in America: A Benefit Concert for Historic Music of Newport

The Rhode Island Wind Ensemble kicks off America’s 250th anniversary year with Made in America, performed in the stunning atrium of the Newport Marriott. From Copland’s iconic Fanfare for the Common Man to Sousa’s George Washington Bicentennial and Gould’s American Salute, the program highlights the rich tapestry of American music, including ragtime, blues, and film. Donations from this event will benefit Historic Music of Newport, supporting the preservation and performance of America’s musical heritage.
