Museum of Newport History at the Brick Market at 127 Thames Street

Explore the heart of 18th century Newport and discuss the year-long period when roughly 12,000 French soldiers and sailors lived alongside Newport citizens during the American Revolution. Learn how the French contribution to the Revolutionary War was vital to the success of American Independence—and it began in Newport. Ever wanted to fly your very own personal signal flag? Don’t miss this original crafting opportunity at The Sailing Museum. Beautiful and historic Saint Mary's Church invites Winter Festival guests to stop in and visit.
The 1852 Gothic Revival style building is home to R.I.’s oldest Catholic parish and boasts beautiful Austrian-made stained glass windows.

8pm: Annual Best Hot Drink Contest

The Red Parrot Restaurant, 348 Thames Street.

The competitions heats up as judges determine the Best Hot Drink in Newport!  Local bars and restaurants are invited to compete for the Festival Plaque.
